After a long sleep, I woke up feeling hungry and went out for a snack. But, oh no! On my way back to my cosy nest, it started snowing really heavily. I got lost and felt so tired and hungry that I decided to take a nap in the snow, which wasn't such a good idea after all. Luckily, some really nice people who owned the garden found me and took me to Prickly Pigs Hedgehog Rescue. They worked really hard to warm me up and make me feel better. I stayed there until the weather got warmer and spring arrived. When the sun was shining again, I happily returned to the garden where I was found. I'm so grateful for the rescue and happy to be back home, enjoying my cosy garden life once more!

On average a hedgehog has 7000 spines which are made out of keratin, the same as our finger nails.
