Hedgehog SOS
If you see a hedgehog out in the day then it usually means it needs help as soon as possible.

Hedgehogs are nocturnal animals, sleeping through the day and foraging for food in the late evening till early morning.

Hedgehogs do not sunbathe.

A hedgehog stumbling around could be severely dehydrated or ill from internal parasites and, if left untreated, will likely not survive without intervention.

What to do if you find a hedgehog that needs help
Use gloves to pick it up and put it in a high sided box, they are good climbers so it's important they can't climb out.
Put a towel or any piece of material in the box for it to hide in.
Fill a hot water bottle, or any plastic bottle, with hot - not boiling - tap water, wrap it in a towel and put it under the hedgehog. Make sure there is enough room for it to move off the hot water bottle if it gets too hot.

If the hedgehog has a visible injury or bleeding then it needs to go straight to a vet.
